Research Workshop VETNET Opening Session 1: University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, Switzerland; 2: Tampere University, Finland; 3: Bern University of Teacher Educaton Presenting Author:The VETNET Opening Session offers insights into the Finnish vocational education and training (VET) landscape, its current developments, and key challenges by bringing together perspectives from research, vocational schools, and the world of work. Invited speakers from vocational education institutions, industry, and research organisations will discuss themes such as work-based learning, permeability, skills development, and the relationship between education and labour-market needs. As every year, the VETNET Opening Session opens a window onto the host country’s VET system, fostering mutual learning and international exchange.
