This hands-on workshop is about specifying, implementing, and managing an organization's strategic goals and objectives. We take a complex system and transdisciplinary approach. The intended audience is for experienced middle managers and executives. The workshop’s takeaways are immediately actionable in the workplace. Workshop Format. A hands-on workshop for transdisciplinary complex systems. Critical theoretical and practical concepts are introduced for the practice. I will lead. Everyone participates. Focus on a fundamental strategy problem. The participants will choose the transdisciplinary strategic problem. Workshop Style. Clear definitions are introduced. Introduce the fatal managerial flaws for strategy implementation: organizational capacity, capability, and readiness. We reason systematically and methodically to avoid the common disadvantages of crude “buy low, sell high” type maxims and proverbs. Key learning Objectives. Show how to set goals and objectives for a complex transdisciplinary organization: [1] organize for delegation execution and implementation, [2] focus on complementarity and synergy, [3] manage constructive and destructive interactions and conflicts, [4] manage emergent emerging properties, behavior, and surprises, [5] The participants will learn the principles, methods, and tools for the practice. Summary. Given this workshop's conceptual foundations, methods, and tools, participants can elevate their managerial and executive capabilities in their work environment. | ||
