Keynote 1: TE2024 opening and keynote speech

Opening ceremony and speeches for TE2024

Dr Adam Cooper will open the conference and invite the following special guests to speak to the assembled delegates:

Prof. Nigel Titchener-Hooker (Professor of Biochemical Engineering), Dean of Engineering Sciences, UCL.

Prof. Rear Admiral Neil Morisetti (Professor of Climate and Resource Security), Head of Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy.(UCL STEaPP)

Dr Adam Cooper, Chair of TE2024 and Associate Professor of Engineering Policy at UCL STEaPP will then give the opening speech in place of the planned keynote from Chi Onwurah - the Labour MP and former Shadow minister for Science, Innovation and Technology - who had to withdraw from the event due the surprise announcement of a general election in the UK held on 4th July.

At the end of this session those presenting posters at TE2024 will get 1 min to pitch their poster to the conference.
