This workshop is designed for those with basic osteological knowledge who wish to expand their understanding of skeletal trauma and pathology. Participants will engage in detailed examination and interpretation of skeletal remains and high quality replicas to reconstruct aspects of past lives, focusing on common pathologies and trauma patterns in historical populations. Through a combination of lecture and practical application, attendees will gain skills in identifying and diagnosing skeletal trauma, diseases, and stress indicators to interpret how physical conditions and injuries impacted the lives of individuals in the past. Case studies will also be reviewed. While no advanced osteological training is required, participants should be familiar with basic human skeletal anatomy. There will also be a Q&A portion where participants can ask biological anthropology-related questions.
