The Florida Public Archaeological Network created the Shipwreck Tagging Archaeological Management Program (STAMP) in 2019. STAMP utilizes citizen scientists to assist archaeologists from state, federal, and non-profit organizations in tracking the movement and degradation of beached/coastal shipwrecks sites and disarticulated shipwreck timbers. STAMP currently has five organizational partners who have tagged over 25 timbers/sites across 4 states with over 150 public submissions to date. The discussion will review results of STAMP to date, discuss the panelists experiences with STAMP, evaluate the effectiveness of the program, and discuss its future.
