The flight training device, co-developed by OST's ICAI (Interdiciplinary Center for Artificial Intelligence), enables photo-realistic virtual simulation training. It provides a highly realistic training environment through a head-mounted display (data goggles), a VR-based haptic cockpit, an intelligent AI-based pose estimation and a dynamic motion platform. Due to the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) qualification, helicopter pilots who complete their training in the VRM Switzerland simulator can have flight hours recognized directly.
