Session Abstract | ||
BACKROUNDCEN TC 156 WG 18 has been working several years on standardizing the requirements and verification criteria for Hospital Ventilation. There is a great need for such guidance as there are multiple countries without own national standards or guidance. Additionally, the existing guidance in different countries having such document differ significantly from one another. The working group has gained great interest and more than 10 countries have been actively participated into the meetings. The aim of the current work is to produce a common Technical Specification as a preliminary step for future standard. AIMS AND SCOPEThe aim of the workshop is to inform audience of the important standardization activity within Healthcare indoor environments. The current status of the work is explained and requirements for indoor environment and ventilation in general as well as specifically for operating rooms and airborne isolation rooms are discussed.
