WS24: IEQ guidelines database updates – Can existing IEQ guidelines be used for building performance assessment and continuous monitoring?
| ||
Session Abstract | ||
BACKROUNDThe open database (www.ieqguidelines.org) is growing and it currently includes at least partial information from over 30 countries. We have presented the database in Indoor Air 2018 and held a symposium in the ISES-ISIAQ 2019 joint conference, where the focus was on differences between countries in terms of existing guidelines. We also organized workshops in Healthy Buildings 2021 conferences in Oslo and Hawaii, with focus on different stakeholders' perspectives, and microbiological guidelines, respectively. In Indoor Air 2022 we plan organize a workshop, where we focus on building performance assessment and continuous monitoring. To what extent can different guidelines be used for building performance assessment? Can the existing guidelines, which are largely based on short time measurement of IEQ indicators, be applied when interpreting results from continuous monitoring? AIMS AND SCOPEThe workshop aims to develop a better consensus on the applicability of the existing guidelines on building performance assessment, as well as interpretation of continuous monitoring results. The session will consist of short presentations and panel discussion (90 mins total).
