Mental health has been drawing significant attention in recent years. An individual with mental illness may experience ups and downs during everyday activities, and feel depressed and anxious, or more severe conditions like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, which may lead to disrupt behavior or inability to carry out necessary activities as expected. The fast development of emerging technologies made it possible to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) in mental health research and clinical practice for the purpose of raising the awareness, and improving the diagnosis, treatment, and support for people with mental health issues or concerns. The workshop will provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss key issues and lessons learned on AI and mental health. This multidisciplinary workshop will facilitate interactive discussions on the implications of these challenges from a variety of disciplines and perspectives in an international context.
