Session Abstract

iSchools Climate Action Coalition in-person meeting will be open for all registered participants of iConference 2024 in Changchun. At the meeting, participants will be able to suggest future strategies and activities of the Coalition while discussing their understanding and preference for climate action-oriented information research. Based on the discussion meeting, a collaborative article will be written for Information Matters or any other suitable outlet where interested meeting participants can join as authors.

iSchools Climate Action Coalition was formed during the iConference 2023 in Barcelona (https://www.ischools.org/climate-action-coalition) to promote collaborative, intersectional, interdisciplinary, and impactful climate action-oriented information research within the iSchools organization. This in-person meeting will be open for all registered participants joining the in-person segment of the iConference 2024 in Changchun. At the meeting, participants will be able to suggest future strategies and activities of the Coalition while discussing their understanding and preference for climate action-oriented information research. The meeting will also go for a membership drive to engage the iSchools community in the future activities of the Coalition. The meeting will further seek guidance for regional collaboration. Based on the discussion meeting, a collaborative article will be written for Information Matters or any other suitable outlet where interested meeting participants can join as authors.
