J. Wei, Y. Xiao

SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY, China, People's Republic of

This study comprehensively identifies existing and potential intellectual property intelligence service requirements through a combination of web-based surveys, literature reviews, and interviews. Building on this groundwork, it designs a questionnaire based on the Kano model to gauge the awareness and utilization of intellectual property intelligence services among researchers in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Through two-dimensional attribute categorization, hybrid classification analysis, and Better-Worse Coefficients, the study classifies the attributes of IP service demands for researchers, and the TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation method is used to measure the demand importance of each service. Based on the analysis results, it is proposed that intellectual property intelligence services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area should be combined with the characteristics of different users to provide differentiated services, such as providing intellectual property intelligence services for researchers in academic and research institutions around the technical intelligence of scientific and technological theses, and providing intellectual property intelligence services for researchers in enterprises around the intelligence of patented technologies and market competition intelligence, and other strategies.

J. Zhang, J. Liao

Sun Yat-sen University, China, People's Republic of

Does Reading Really Need to Be Socialized? : A Study based on the Impact of Interaction on Perceived Value in "WeChat Reading" APP

Department of Information Resources Management, Business School, Nankai University, China, People's Republic of

Social reading with "interaction" as its essential feature is flourishing, but does reading really require socialization? This study takes the "We Chat Reading" app as a representative of social reading platforms, we analyze the impact of different interaction modes of readers on their perceived value of social reading, in order to explore the value of social reading. Using a mixed research method combining experiments and questionnaires, we find that the perceived value of readers can be subdivided into four dimensions: perceived reading value, perceived emotional value, perceived social value and perceived functional value. The interactive approach driven by book reviews, abstracts, and interpersonal relationships brings higher perceived value. The perception of reading, social, and functional value by readers have a significant positive impact on reader satisfaction, and through satisfaction, it have a significant positive impact on readers' willingness to continue using. Among them, perceived functional value can also directly affect readers' willingness to continue using. Social reading provides readers with a new reading option, but its value varies from person to person, so to say that social reading is the "future of reading" is still too much to say. In practice, we suggest that social reading platforms promote the organic integration of reading and interaction, emphasize and improve the interactive functions with strong reader autonomy and flexibility, provide targeted services for readers, and thus achieve significant development in social reading.

The phenomenon of user knowledge withholding in virtual academic community is a key problem that destroys knowledge sharing and innovation and hinders the development of community. The paper divides the influencing factors of knowledge withholding from the two dimensions of enabling and inhibiting, and analyzes the multiple motivations of user knowledge withholding in virtual academic communities. A two-stage qualitative and quantitative hybrid research method based on csQCA and Decision Tree is proposed. The user data of three different disciplines virtual academic communities: Science and technology, Economics and management and Medicine are collected through a questionnaire. The result shows: (1) User knowledge withholding phenomenon in virtual academic communities is driven by the combination of enabling and disabling dimensions, and there are multiple configurations; (2) Knowledge power is the primary reason for user high knowledge withholding in online academic community; (3) The combination configuration of high knowledge withholding phenomenon in different disciplines virtual academic communities are different; The knowledge power, knowledge psychological ownership and knowledge withholding subjective norms of users in the science and technology community are playing a major role. The influence of knowledge power in the management community is more general and direct, while the influence of psychological ownership is less; The enabling dimension of medical community users often works together with the community reciprocity and privacy protection of the disabling dimension. (4) The research results of this hybrid research method can verify and supplement each other and provide more comprehensive conclusions.
