Threats to the credibility of published research are real and serious (e.g., retractions, irreproducible findings, etc.). To enhance the reliability and value of published health research literature, the EQUATOR Network, begun in 2006, has expanded into a global initiative to promote transparent and accurate reporting of biomedical and health research studies through the development and dissemination of reporting guidelines for different types of research. Currently, thousands of journals endorse major reporting guidelines. However, challenges face researchers in using reporting guidelines correctly. This highly interactive workshop aims to build a new research community to develop effective solutions to these challenges: how to measure the effectiveness of enhancing reporting guidelines to improve the quality of publications, how AI can play a role in enhancing reporting guideline adherence, and how best to train researchers in selecting and implementing reporting guidelines.
