Welcome to the 2026 McGill Hackathon registration portal! On this page you can create a new user account for the ConfTool conference management system. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) must be filled in.

Please note that the registration costs $40 and payment can be made once you're logged into the portal. We ask that all participants pay the registration fee before February 10th. Remember that if you have already formed a team, all individual members of your team MUST register and pay for the event.

In order to use the ConfTool system, you will create a user account with your personal details. Your user data, your actions and the results of your actions will be stored within the system.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Data

Information stored in the ConfTool system will exclusively be used in relation to this event or a subsequent event. Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the organization of the event, for billing purposes or for legal reasons (e. g. in the case of an external audit), but it will not be distributed or sold to other parties for other purposes.

Right to Information

Upon request, the organisers of this event will provide you, in writing, with all personal data they have stored about you. You can inquire where the data were collected, to whom they are disclosed and the purposes for which they have been stored.

Photography and Recording

Pictures will be taken during the event by our assigned photographer. All participants who do not mind having their photo taken, it is your responsibility to fill out and submit the photography consent form found here.

If you do not wish to be photographed, it is your responsibility to pickup a "NO PHOTO" sticker at the welcome desk during the event and to visibly place it on the left side of your chest. You can also step away from frame when a picture is being taken. For privacy reasons no other photograph will be allowed without permission of the persons being photographed.

Conditions of Use of Code for Promotional Material

By registering for the McGill Physics HACKATHON 10, you agree that any submitted code can be used and displayed on the repository website (DoraHacks) for promotional purposes.

The McGill Physics Hackathon is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion within the community. The collection of self identification data gives us information about the diversity of our applicant pool, which increases our capacity to monitor our progress, recognize and remove barriers, and foster a more inclusive environment.
