Digital Twins & BIM - Bridging the Gap Between Design & Construction; the future of transport infrastructure & smart cities
Keith Peterson
Trimble, Austria
The Digital Twin and BIM concepts are driving many aspects of the geospatial industry, particularly within the digital cities and infrastructure construction sectors where better planning, faster execution and continual monitoring is desired, if not required. On top of this, we are able to produce more data, faster, than ever before. In this session, I would like to take a provocative look at the current state of data and technologies within these sectors to examine the questions:
What is the role of geospatial data and how will we interact with it in the future? Are our tools well positioned to meet the needs of users? What is next?
Finally, I would like to look at how we at Trimble are positioning ourselves to meet the ever growing and changing needs of the geospatial construction market and digital transformation - a fusion of sensors and solutions.
