This session explores latest research on the interaction between transport processes and fracture in cement-based materials, with a focus on durability, degradation mechanisms and structural performance under coupled actions.
This special session brings together leading researchers to discuss recent advances in the coupled transport and fracture behavior of cement-based materials. Presentations will cover a range of experimental, theoretical, and computational approaches to understand the complex interactions between transport mechanisms, cracking and material degradation. Key topics include corrosion-fatigue, chloride induced corrosion, reactive transport modeling, chemo-mechanical simulations, gas and moisture transport, fire-induced fracture and probabilistic service life prediction.
