Fieldtrip 1: Deer Island Tour

Take a tour of one of the largest Water Resource Recovery Facilities in the United States! The Deer Island Facility serves the greater Boston area and includes pure oxygen activated sludge treatment and anaerobic digestion of biosolids. Participants will ride a bus from Northeastern to the facility and should plan to wear appropriate clothing for the tour (close toed shoes, long pants). An additional waiver and background check form is required to attend this tour. Required pre-registration Pre-registered participants will be contacted to complete needed forms. Meeting point is 50 Forsyth Street Boston, MA 02115 United States at 8:15am to board busses for the field trip. Some other reminders: * All guests must wear closed-toed shoes. * No bags/backpacks. * Photography is restricted to the exterior. * Pets are not allowed |
